Privacy policy
Ask Mio is operated by Internet Solutions, UAB (Lithuania), company code 302617697. We process your account data, your chats and the files you upload only to provide the service. Data is stored on our own servers. Ask Mio never uses your chats or files to train AI models. You can export or delete your data at any time from Settings or by writing to [email protected].
What we collect and how
- Account details — first name, last name (optional), email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), language and time zone. You enter these when you create an account or change your settings.
- Chats and messages — everything you write to Mio and every answer Mio writes back, saved so you can return to a conversation.
- Files and images — files and photos you attach, and images Mio generates for you.
- Memory and projects — facts you or Mio chose to remember, and projects you create.
- Connected services — if you connect a service yourself (for example Google Drive or GitHub), we store the access it grants and read from it only when you use it in a chat.
- Usage and billing — how much of your usage limit you have used, and records of purchases made on our website.
- Technical data — your IP address and device or browser type in server logs, kept to keep the service secure and working.
How we use it
Only to run Ask Mio: to let you sign in, to generate Mio’s answers, to keep your chat history, to apply usage limits, to handle payments made on our website, to answer your support requests, and to keep the service secure. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
Sharing with third-party AI providers
Ask Mio does not run its own AI model. To answer you, it sends your request to a third-party AI provider. In the mobile app we ask for your permission before anything is sent, and you can withdraw it at any time in More → AI data sharing.
What is sent: the message you write and the earlier messages of the same chat, the files and images you attach, your first name and language setting (so Mio can address you properly), and content from services you connected yourself when a chat uses them. Your email address, password and payment details are never sent.
Who receives it: each request goes to one of these providers, depending on the mode you use:
- Google (Gemini models)
- DeepSeek (DeepSeek models)
- OpenRouter, and the model makers it routes requests to: Alibaba (Qwen), Cohere, Poolside and OpenAI (open-weight models)
- Cloudflare (Workers AI, image generation)
- AI Horde (image generation on computers run by volunteers)
These providers receive the data only to generate the answer or image. Some of them process requests outside the EU. The list above is kept up to date whenever a provider is added or removed.
Other service providers
Hetzner (hosting), Cloudflare (network), PayPal and Stripe (payments made on our website). They process data only on our instructions.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account exists, or until you delete a chat or file yourself. When you delete your account, your account data, chats and files are deleted.
Your rights
You can access, export, correct or delete your data, withdraw consent, and object to processing. Delete your account in Settings, or write to [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to the State Data Protection Inspectorate of Lithuania or to your local data protection authority.
Cookies
We use necessary cookies to run the website and your account and to remember your choices. Analytics and advertising measurement cookies (_ga) are set only with your consent, given in the banner at the bottom of the website; you can withdraw it at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer. With your consent, an analytics and advertising measurement service receives your IP address, browser and device details and the pages you visit.
